I’m very excited to share two pieces of news this week:
Diana Yates at the University of Illinois has written a great press release for my book – please note that there is contact info for me and for various folks at the press who can get advance copies to reporters as needed!
LibroFM has selected PERIOD for their March influencer campaign! I hope you’ll consider buying the audiobook through LibroFM since it’s like Bookshop for audiobooks – they make it possible to support local indie bookstores.
Woo hoo, I finally get to share the gorgeous cover of my book Period: The Real Story of Menstruation!
This book was both a joy and a real pain in the butt to write. It’s chock full of delight and curiosity, but also a lot of righteous anger. Period tells the story of a misunderstood and stigmatized process that is crucial to our understanding of human biology, reproduction, and variable ways of being. I also share the misogynist and racist origin story for the Western misconception of periods (spoiler alert: it’s eugenics all the way down), and what a just future that includes menstruating bodies might look like.
